Day 32

Did my yoga. Nuff said.

1/3 of the way through!

Day 31

First time for back and biceps. I'm pretty sure I have never done so many curls in 1 week as I did in one day. Interestingly they're not painfully sore, but I definately feel it in my arms. It made doing pull ups a lot harder. Also, i'm at 158 lbs consistently, so Hooray for small gains! I have a feeling in another 59 days (FIFTY NINE) i'll be down to about 154 and all MUSCLE. Here's to hoping.

Day 30

Back to basics! Doing some jump moves again in pylometrics. I biked to work, and jumped, and biked home. I was incredibly sweaty but hey, thats the goal right?

Monday, July 28, 2008

Day 29

Today I did the chest, shoulder and tricep routine followed by ab ripper x. This wasn't so bad. I did as many pushups as I could, and as many tricep exercises as I could with 10-12.5 pound weights. Even with such a light weight my triceps are bothering me. Overall a good upper body workout!

Day 27/28

This weekend was about the yoga! I did it on sunday, and took saturday as my rest day instead. I was sweaty. I felt good. I have to admit I don't quite notice any improvement in my stretching, but I can pretend!

Day 26

Today I will be doing core synergistics again. I'm looking forward to it! Its a good way to really sweat.

On a side note, x stretch is not so bad. The only hard part would be the arm circles. Those really suck. Everything else isn't so bad, and in fact, makes you feel pretty good about yourself.

Day 25

After doing Kenpo x, I've noticed that I have back muscles I never knew existed. They inform me of their existance by being extremely sore. Its funny how every day I am always sore in a different spot. Its kind of disconcerting.

On a good note, today will be X stretch. To my mind, this will be fairly simple. However, my friend informs me that she did x-stretch and was more sore the next day.

Rest week my @$$. Is there no rest?!

Day 24

Today I did Kenpo x. This exercise for some reason I've been avoiding every saturday on my normal schedule. I think I'll try and make more time for it. Its hard to do due to the reps and the awkward movements (punching/kicking are not natural). Overall a nice light workout that keeps you sweating.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Day 23

Core Synergistics. Ouch. Normally on tuesdays I would do pylometrics. I can't decide if its worse to focus all your heart and energy on your legs, or if its worse to just work your entire body. Its a toss up at this point which is worse.

Monday, July 21, 2008

Day 22

Dear god. I still have 68 days left. Also, Yoga hurts me inside. Literally. Tomorow will be the first time I will be doing Core Synergistics. Wheeee

Sunday, July 20, 2008

Day 20/21

These days, yet again, I skipped out on kenpo x. I really shouldn't do that. I will REALLY try not to skip out on it. This is my rest day, and next week is the rest week for phase 1. Technically I am supposed to do yoga tomorow, but since I wont have time afterwork to dedicate to yoga I'm thinking about doing that today or wake up REALLY EARLY (6 am yoga anyone?)

Friday, July 18, 2008

Day 19

Someone noticed that I was doing my legs and back routine with an ipod nano as my "personal trainer". I pushed myself during these exercises, and I can feel it in my legs for sure.

Thursday, July 17, 2008

Day 18

What can I say about yoga? I did it, it took a while, and it makes me feel awkward. But i did it.

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Day 17

Today I did the shoulder + arms routine. Afterwards I did ab ripper x. I noticed a change in my upper body as I can now do a little more weight (Some exercises I did with 20's I can do with 25's now). I also feel like my core work is making a difference! I still have trouble with the bicycle moves but I can actually do many of the pfifer (spelling?) scissors and I can finish the mason twists at the end of ab ripper x. I am happy to see in only 17 days I can FEEL a difference in my body.

I've also noticed a difference so far in how my upper legs look (thinner and not as flabby), my mid section (no 6 pack yet), and my arms. My arms especially look a bit more cut and larger, but I dont know. I should've taken pictures.

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Day 16

My legs feel fresh! I biked into work today and felt like I rocked a few hills. Unfortunately its back to pylometrics again! So any freshness will be GONE. Anyway just posting now in case I forget.

I still only weight in around 160.

Monday, July 14, 2008

Day 15

Today is chest and back + ab ripper x. Its day 15, and that means I've only got 75 more days to go!

Sunday, July 13, 2008

Day 13/14

I skipped out on kenpo again. I feel bad about that, but then again I ride my bike often. So despite not doing kenpo I don't feel bad about it. Maybe next saturday I will.

Friday, July 11, 2008

Day 12

Today was legs and back and ab ripper x. I find my legs are always tired, since lately i've been biking to work and then doing things like pylometrics and legs and back. Regardless, I did them and I'm still alive.

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Day 11

I did it! Yoga was good, despite being time consuming. I feel like I am getting better at yoga at least!

Wednesday, July 9, 2008

Day 10

I am beginning to feel exhausted. I biked to work again today, and noticed that I could not do as much as I usually do for arms/shoulders. Found myself doing less weight and less reps. Dont know if thats cause I'm subconsciously not trying as hard or if I'm getting WEAKER! Either way, I got through day 10 (80 more days to go!!) and did as much ab ripper x as possible. And then i biked home in the RAIN. They say you should do yoga in a hot hot room.. Well for Day 11 I can't wait to do yoga in my room which is like a furnace. So bring on the sweat! If i don't post for day 11 its cause I either forgot, or I died while trying to do downward dog.

Tuesday, July 8, 2008

Day 9

Plyometrics (i need to learn how to spell that) is HARD! I just want to point out that I biked to work, did pylometrics, and biked home. Very tiring stuff! Went to bed very tired. But strangely Legs are not sore.

Monday, July 7, 2008

Day 8

Chest and back was not so bad. I felt like I'm getting stronger, but at the same time not really =)

I still have a hard time doing pull ups, even with putting my leg out to support some weight. Also, I think i'm pulling myself at an angle.. But to be fair i'm still too weak to pull myself straight up.

Sunday, July 6, 2008

Day 6/7

I actually made both of these days rest days, and I skipped out on kenpo x and possibly doing xstretch. I couldn't do kenpo since my legs were still sore from legs and back.

Saturday, July 5, 2008

Day 5

Technically, this was supposed to be Friday, but since this day was also the fourth of july, my gym was closed. So I had to do legs and back saturday. Not bad, but got my legs really sore.

Thursday, July 3, 2008

Day 4

Today was yoga! Its surprisingly hard to do yoga! I would have to say, as "easy" as this is, it makes you sweat like a mofo.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

Day 3

Today was Shoulder and Arms. I pushed really hard yesterday, doing more weight than I'm normally comfortable with. It felt good though, and I got really tired afterwards. I even managed to do some side tri rises now that I know you're supposed to lie on your hip. At any rate, there were a few tricep moves I felt I was a little awkward about, but overall I think I did very well.

I also managed to do most of the ab ripper x video's as well. This hurt. But I did most of it.

The next couple of days will be interesting, since the 4th of july my gym is closed, I won't get to do legs + back. I might switch kenpo x with legs + back, assuming they're open on saturday.

Day 2

Started the pylometrics early this morning. Jump, hop squat, kick... My legs were so tired, and even though I didn't have a heart rate monitor, I was wishing for the end 20 minutes into it. Not looking forward to this exercise next week. Working with the ipod was actually not so bad, as the motions are repetitive and not so hard to do.
